Project Pitlane: UCL Make Coronavirus Breathing Device

Formula 1 community is doing a great job at helping defeat the coronavirus. Project Pitlane is all about helping the doctors and nurses treat patients.
Mercedes has manufactured championship winning engines in F1 and now they are winning hearts in the health service during the coronavirus crisis also they started Project Pitlane.
Mercedes did not win constructors championship for nothing. The engineers at Mercedes HPP and University College London along with the clinicians at UCL Hospital have just approved a breathing device that helps the patients breathe easily.
Continuous Positive Airway Pressure is the name of this contraption. It is specifically for patients having respiratory problems of the higher order. Often when dealing with such problems, ‘invasive mechanical ventilation’ is used.
As helpful as they are, the devices are still not enough in UK hospitals to help all the patients suffering from coronavirus as the count of the positive coronavirus cases continues to increase every day.
It is impressive how the engineers and clinicians built the device in a matter of days. They had to reverse-engineer the CPAP device from Italian and Chinese hospitals. Having done it in time, the UK regulatory board has made the use of the device fine to use .
CPAP device was the perfect example of the great help various departments when work closely can provide to the world. Formula 1 community is doing a great job at helping defeat the coronavirus. Project Pitlane is all about helping the doctors and nurses treat patients. Other F1 teams like Haas, Red Bull, McLaren and Racing Point that are based in the UK are also involved in the ongoing efforts against the coronavirus.
